"A very interesting duo can be found in Unknown Land formed by Lucia Ponticas from Chile and Rob Bryant from Australia, they deliver a very artistic dark electronic sound, their track "Moonlight" is an excellent example of what they are all about, obscure atmosphere, dark tones, beautiful eerie vocals and stellar music production.
The song, in a strange way is romantic and very immersive in a mysterious way, it's a slow tempo track that hypnotizes you if you let it to, it's no doubt a great rendition to its inherent theme.
With a classic synth bassline and the exquisitely crafted synth melodies and patches, all presented at the right moments, this is a top notch accomplishment of a dark atmospheric experience.
The vocals are hauntingly ethereal in their nature and the polished the right amount of melodic vocal phrases to enhance the final ambience of the production.
Listening to some of their other tracks we can asses that Unknown Land is an amazing class act, specially if you love dark synth textures, ethereal & elegant sonic landscapes that evoke complex feelings and emotions. Please, give them a listen, you'll get immersed!"

INSIDE THE TRACK: [artist's commentary]
"Moonlight" is about thoughts wandering at night, while waiting for a lover to return home. It is anticipation and desire transformed into a story, using the moonlit landscape to bring it to life. Musically it arose from experimentation with the NI Reaktor synth INSIDIOUS, an emulation of the Commodore 64 sound chip, and those sounds can be heard in the bass of the verse and the lead of the chorus. The vocals were made by experimenting using fragments and layers of vocal lines to create an immersive mood.
