Mapt is the French translation of BFF (Meilleurs Amis Pour Toujours).
This is a one man musical project that heavily relies on hardware synths (Moog, Vermona, Ambika) and samples.
The song is Mapt's second release this year. It about wondering what one's life could be like if other choices had be taken or other paths chosen.
It has a melancholic vibe but still projects some hopeful tones. The vocals are natural but are doubled with autotune that adds a constant evolving harmony.
The video was generated using openframeworks (a C++ visual framework) and was programmed to react on the different elements of the song.
If you hear a kick, some blue cubes will appear, a snare some other element and so on...
