"Hayfield is awesome... of course, we couldn't just leave it at that! the Irish duo delights us with one of their most recent releases: 'View the World' that in short terms is an amazing electronic song full of emotion.
In depth detail the tune has a synthwave oriented music production that is definitely top notch quality, David Hayden acts as the production part of the project and excels in crafting cohesive synth layers with a classic 80's influence and a more modernized audio technique.
John Caulfield, who is the other 50% of the band is responsible for the vocals, that like the music production has also an excellent level of craft, performance, tone, and texture; but what is very noteworthy is the overall heartfelt emotion in the final product.
The synth melodies, the selected sounds, and emotive vocal execution blend perfectly and all stand out, particularly in this release.
The mixing is balanced, with a modern warmth and atmosphere that fit perfectly in this nostalgic type of tracks.
We could say even greater things about Hayfield but it's time that you find out for yourself how captivating they really can get!"

INSIDE THE TRACK: [artist's commentary]
Hayfield are an ALTERNATIVE electronic duo based in dublin. They consist of david hayden the composer/producer and john caulfield the singer/songwriter
The genesis of view the world begins right back in August 2012 with a demo created by david in his bedroom initially entitled desire.
as was the case back then, david would create demos and send them down to john to sing over. john had formulated the lyrical and melodic basis of what became view the world but the chorus was totally different than what it is today. the desire or view the world demo was composed in logic 9 at the time on a macbook pro and overall had a similar feel to what the final product was except David had sampled a string section from a track at the start and the chorus had a much more moving chorus structure chord wise and as such john could not wirte ANYTHING convincing over it and the demo was scrapped for years.
Fast forward to 2016 when both David and john were throwing around the idea of reforming hayfield to release new material, both of them started to go back through old demos with a view to redoing them in order to start compiling material to release. initially the desire demo was forgotten about by david untill john remembered it at the last minute and brough it to his attention.
from the PLAY THROUGH it BECAME clear that the initial idea was strong but the chorus was holding it back so david went away and reproduced it into what you hear today and wrote a new chorus.
Primarily this track was produced in the box in 2016 and kontakt was used for the new strings he added in and primarily plugins like arturias minimoog v and fxpansions strobe and various other bits like refx nexus and omnisphere were used for the sounds. It was a simple demo but this caused john to become inspired to wirte the final track you hear today
However for various reasons and bad timing the hayfield project was abandoned for another 3 years untill motivated by the collection of songs they had
