"Usually, we don't do reviews of live tracks, but we had to make an exception with this one; Synthwave act Code Elektro recently released the live track 'Wolf' and oh man this instrumental rocks! Last year we did a blog post for Code Elektro with one of his 2019 releases and we were very impressed! and this time around he takes us on a wild ride with an awesome produced track version with live drums and electric guitars! This more organic oriented setup elevates the track to a more industrial electrorock feel, you can taste the blend of fine retrowave synths and melodies with powerful drum sounds and edgy guitars. The mood and the melodies in this tune are captivating with enough 80's atmosphere and a general immersive thrill. Code Electro is definitely a master producing retrowave with heavy cyberpunk leanings. New Single from Code Elektro Critically acclaimed synthwave artist releases new single. This time with a hard-hitting drummer and rock guitarist. Code Elektro has released a new single from an almost SOLD OUT live performance earlier this year (before Covid-19) at the venue Radar in Denmark. Code Elektro performed the show with a live band (drummer and guitarist). The reason for this was to blend the electronic world with a live setup to get a groovy live feel - and to limit the computers on stage. As a special feature the concert had a quadraphonic Speaker setup. This is a 70s HIFI concept where the audience is surrounded by speakers. The idea is to move sound around the audience from the stage and be able to make it a more immersive live music experience. SOUND OF CODE ELEKTRO Dystopian Science Fiction Atmospheres, Neon Skylines and eternal Cyberpunk Nights with Acid Rain. That’s Code Elektro. And now it’s live with a real band. The music is characterized by the use of analog synthesizers and sound design. It sounds similar to the soundtracks of movies like Blade Runner and TRON: Legacy. However, it also takes a step forward to create something new via sound design, visuals and storytelling. CODE ELEKTRO Code Elektro is one of the most critically acclaimed synthwave / retrowave bands out there with thousands of listeners. The previous records were very well received by critics and synthwave fans worldwide and all were nominated for a GAFFA AWARD for Best Danish Electronic Release (2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019). The Danish Music magazine, GAFFA, gave TRIADS 5 out of 6 stars and called it: “World Class Synthwave from Denmark”. Also, the Code Elektro was nominated as Best Danish Electronic Artist 2019.
