"Electronic duo Bromsen is presenting their vibrant and energetic single 'Merryman', a song that engulfs all that is great about modern vocal synthwave and other rockier ingredients mixed together in the right amounts.
Relatively newcomers since 2021, the band is set to embark on a promising musical journey full of potential, which they already made clear to show with their music production skills in this heavily catchy synth anthem.
According to the band, the song started as more indie rock that later evolved into a more contemporary synthwave production, which we felt fits perfectly with the mood and tone of the track.
The electro elements added in the beat and the lush synth melodies transmit an almost rebellious post-punk extravaganza that can grab the attention of even the most unaware listener, this is not quickly done and is in significant part due to the vocal work that enhances the track to its full glory which deserves to get played inside the most popular indie/alternative nightclubs.
In conclusion, Bromsen begins their musical career with a fine and solid impressive music production, so we invite you to give them a listen especially if you love retro-synth and post-punk elements mixed together with a splendid electric guitar work that can rock anyone out of their seats!"

SYW Overall SCORE:
INSIDE THE TRACK: [artist's commentary]
Merryman is the first song which Richard and Karlo have created, after their foundation of „Bromsen“ in 2021. Karlo had created a demo version of the song and sent it to Richard, who called him the next day, saying that he needs to constantly hear it and that it is extremely catchy. Richard then initially arranged the whole song as a classical rock-pop type of song, which they both liked but one day Richard said to Karlo: "I have it“. The song needs electro elements and the next days he shut himself down in his little home-studio and created the intro and the characteristic synth elements. When showing the song to Karlo afterwards both knew that this creation process has not only lifted the song up to another level, but also had a broader effect as both fell in love with the whole landscape of that new sound, mixing synthwave elements to their very guitar based indie-poprock sound. The Bromsen sound was born.
